Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 August 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the YourEnergyGroup website and services (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services. We may update these Terms from time to time, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of services
YourEnergyGroup provides a claims management platform for businesses that may have been subject to undisclosed commissions, overcharges, or other issues relating to their business energy contracts. Our Services include:
- AI-assisted review and analysis of uploaded energy contracts to identify clauses potentially relevant to a claim.
- Preliminary assessment of the merits of a potential claim based on the information provided.
- Processing, tracking, and management of claims on your behalf, including liaison with energy suppliers, brokers, and third parties where instructed.
- General information and insights relating to relevant case law and regulatory developments via our Knowledge Hub.
The AI-assisted analysis is a decision-support tool only. It does not constitute, and should not be relied upon as, formal legal advice. See our Legal Disclaimer for further detail.
3. User obligations
By using the Services, you agree that you will:
- Provide true, accurate, current, and complete information, including uploaded contracts and supporting documents.
- Not misrepresent, falsify, or alter any document or data submitted to us.
- Only upload documents that you own, or that you are authorised to submit on behalf of the business in question.
- Cooperate reasonably with requests for further information or documentation needed to progress a claim.
- Not use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or improper purpose.
- Keep your account credentials secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
Submitting inaccurate information or misrepresenting data may result in the suspension or termination of your claim and your access to the Services.
4. Fees – No Win, No Fee
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, our claims management service operates on a "No Win, No Fee" basis. This means:
- You will not be charged any upfront fee to have your energy contracts assessed or your claim submitted.
- If your claim is unsuccessful, you will not be charged a fee for the work carried out.
- If your claim is successful, a success fee of 25% (plus VAT, where applicable) of any compensation, redress, or refund recovered will be deducted from the amount recovered before funds are passed to you, unless a different fee has been separately agreed in your engagement documentation.
- The specific terms of the success fee, including the applicable percentage and payment mechanics, will be set out in a separate client engagement agreement, which takes precedence over this clause in the event of any conflict.
5. Intellectual property
All content, branding, software, and materials on the platform (excluding documents you upload) remain the property of YourEnergyGroup or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our prior written consent.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, YourEnergyGroup shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunity. Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. Our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you breach these Terms, provide false or misleading information, or engage in fraudulent or unlawful conduct. You may also close your account or withdraw your claim at any time by contacting us, subject to any fees already properly incurred.
8. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
